Carly at School & Gymnastics

I thought these two pictures were cute...

Our friend, Kristen, who works part-time at Disney got us into the Magic Kingdom last Friday after school. We haven't been there in almost 5 years, so it was quite a fun experience for all of our kids! In 2 1/2 hours, we were able to ride the Jungle Book Cruise, Splash Mountain twice, Big Thunder Mountain, It's A Small World, Buzz Lightyear and Mickey's Barnstormer. We are now considering annual passes again. Thanks for a fun time Kristen!

Carly Meets Dora & Diego

We recently had the chance to attend a "character" breakfast at the nearby Nickelodeon Hotel where kids get to meet characters such as Dora the Explorer, Diego, Spongebob, etc. while they eat breakfast. I guess the Nick Hotel is very strict and, unlike Disney, doesn't allow anyone on property except those staying overnight. So, we jumped at the special opportunity and went with some playgroup friends. Carly loved it and the food was good too!

Happy Grandparents Day!!!

Grandparents Day was on September 13th this year and I just want to say how blessed we are to have two sets of wonderful grandparents who care about our kids and have good relationships with them, even from afar! Thank you for all your encouragement, support and thoughtfulness with our children. We love you!!!

Here are photos of both Roger & Sharon with Carly. We'll have to wait until Nami Pam's and Grampa J's next visit!

Popcorn Seller Extraordinaire!

Justin has been busy selling Trail's End popcorn for the Cub Scouts primary fundraiser. He's manned booths at Publix, Roger's office and the Lake Buena Vista Outlet Mall and plans to do one more at the Water Tower Place next week to finish off his sales. His initial goal was to fill up one sales sheet (30 customers) to earn the bow & arrow marshmallow shooter, but now he's aiming for the $625 sales goal so he can also get either a travel fishing kit or a Leatherman multi-tool. He's only $21 away! Go Justin!

And by the way, if you haven't been asked to buy popcorn, don't worry... you'll probably be asked to sponsor Justin & Chase in their upcoming walk-a-thon to raise money for the Celebration School PTA!

Storm Football

Chase (#30) has played two more Celebration Storm away games since I last posted pictures. He is still working hard at playing defense (defensive tackle and sometimes outside linebacker) and his coaches tell us he gets better every week. He is learning to move on the snap, run fast, look for the ball and tackle low.

Here are a few photos from our games against Leesburg and West Orange. We played okay against Leesburg, but they were fast and our defense couldn't hold them. We held our own against the undefeated West Orange though, scoring one touchdown and 2 first downs. It's the first time any time has scored anything against them all season!!! Go Storm!

The next two weeks are home games and we have a good chance of winning the second one, so stay tuned!!!

Carly's First Dentist Appt

Carly went to her first dentist appointment a couple weeks ago. She couldn't wait for her turn since they took the boys back first... but when they leaned her back in the chair, turned the spotlight on and started poking around her mouth, she looked at me a little apprehensively. She did great though and got new toothbrush, princess flossers and a token to buy a bouncy ball. Since her appointment, her first 2-year molar has pushed through and she has another one just about to appear. We've got a cranky little girl on our hands... :)

Roger's Birthday Part II

We had a fantastic time at Ponce Inlet celebrating Roger's birthday yet again... family, friends, beautiful weather, good waves, fish in our net, yummy food, birthday cake and gifts. Here are some of our favorite pictures...

Justin took this picture. The new face is Blake's girlfriend, Sam, who we met for this first time.

Happy birthday Honey! We love you!

Happy Birthday Rog Part I

Roger celebrated his 43rd birthday on Friday, September 4. He flew in on a red eye late that morning and was able to pick up the kids from school. After a quick football practice, we celebrated at home with one of his favorite meals... grilled burgers with swiss cheese, sauteed onions & avocado, french fries, corn on the cob and homemade ice cream sandwiches made out of oatmeal raisin cookies and cake batter ice cream. Yum!!!

Next up is a dinner out with some friends at Cantina Laredo and then the beach on Sunday. More pictures to come!

Tiny Mite Football Game 2

We had our first Tiny Mite home game this past Saturday and tied Palm Bay 4-4. Last year the Tiny Mites were 0-8, so we're already ahead with 0-1-1. We just need to tighten up our defense a little bit and get those boys running faster. Chase played Outside Linebacker on defense and got in a little on the offense playing what I believe was tight end. He's doing really well learning the game and being were he's supposed to be. Now he just needs to hit hard once he gets where he going and pick it up a notch on his speed.

My camera is on it's last legs, so I didn't get any good pictures. Caroline snapped this one as Chase was about to slap hands with Coach Kapusta...

Chase is the one ready in his 3-point stance...

Chase post game buying something from us at the concession stand...

Space Derby 2009

The Annual Cub Scout Space Derby is always held the first weekend after school starts and is typically less competitive and more fun than the Pinewood Derby. Instead of building a race car, you build a space rocket that is powered by a propeller & rubber bands. Justin's design of a lava lamp this year was meant to earn him a trophy for most creative (since we usually don't win for speed), but he ended up with a trophy for second fastest in the Bear rank. Look at the excitement in the picture below. Congratulations Justin!
