Chase's big Kindergarten play
All the Kindergarten classes at school put on a performance to salute America with lots of songs and some interesting facts about our country. Chase had been practicing at home for a month or two and was very excited about performing on stage. They did a fantastic job, but the cafeteria was so crowded & dark that this was the only decent picture I got. Congratuations Chase on a job well done!
Muddy Buddy 2009
It was worth the sacrifice of not getting any pictures of Roger in the mud pit to actually participate in the Muddy Buddy race this year, a 2-person team biking, running & obstacle relay race with a big mud pit at the end. We had a blast and actually did pretty well... we took 5th place in our age group out of 119! We're going for 1st place next year!!! The boys then competed in their age groups in the Mini Muddy Buddy, a super short version with a few obstacles (if you can call them that) and a mud pit crawl. We had so much fun as a family we can't wait for next year!

Happy Birthday to Chase
Gosh, it's hard to believe that Chase just turned 6 years old. Most of the time, I think of him as being Justin's age and not the Kindergartener that he is. I'm sure a lot of parents feel that way about their second children! Anyhow, Chase enjoyed three different birthday celebrations this year. We had his party the Saturday before his birthday at Fort Wilderness, where the kids played in the woods, swam in the pool and enjoyed a picnic dinner & cake. Then he celebrated his special day with his class by serving them birthday cake ice cream cups for snack and finally we celebrated as a family at home. Happy Birthday Chase. We love you!!!!

More Carly
Carly always seems to be doing something cute, thus the random pictures. She found a Chicken Little ski hat and was walking around with it on saying "cluck cluck". And this morning I had to blow up a plastic baby pool (for the school principal to sit in while he gets "slimed") which Carly then proceeded to crawl in with her blankie to watch TV. "Cozy!" she said.

Carly Won the Cookie
We got a call from the Publix Bakery last week saying that Carly had won a big 14" cookie as part of the Kids Cookie Club monthly drawing. Here she is this morning with a little cookie and her name listed as the winner. We'll be back next Thursday to pick up the big cookie for her birthday! Yeah Carly!!!

Happy Birthday To Me!
I am finally in my late 30s... 38 to be exact. Doesn't feel too bad since I'm actually happier & in better shape than I ever have been. Plus, I have a wonderful family... husband, kids, parents, in-laws, etc. To celebrate my birthday this year, I took Carly to Magic Kingdom for the first time, enjoyed a couple drinks with my girlfriends at tball practice, went out to Seito with family and then had cake & ice cream at home. Perfect!

Another Cookoff
I don't think our cookoff's are officially bi-annual anymore. They seem to be happening more often than that - whenever someone gets the itch to get everyone together for an afternoon of food, friendly competition and fun. The latest event was an "almost summer sandwich & salad" cookoff that brought about 10-12 families to Spring Park. As always, there was some stiff competition, but the winners were Rob's freshly grilled Cuban sandwiches and Amy's Walnut & Gorgonzola salad. Dee-lish!!!

Lego Party
Chase recently went to a birthday party for one of his classmates at the Lego Store in Downtown Disney. We've been there before, but never for a party. The kids had their own area to play with the legos, went on a tour of the store, then got to choose a small lego set to build before loading another small box full of as many legos as they could fit to take home. Very cool!
