Those Are Dancing Feet!

I was cleaning the house a couple weeks ago, listening to an XM "Best of the 80s" radio station on DirecTV when I noticed Carly dancing. I was lucky enough to have her keep shaking her booty when the camera appeared because she usually clams up. And she's lucky because she actually has some rhythm!!!

The Turtle & The Hares

Carly is the turtle and Justin & Chase are the Hares in this video I took of them on the front porch stairs this past weekend. Slow or fast though, they were all having a good time and oh-so-proud of Carly when she made it to the top :)

More Carly Pictures

Here are a few of the latest pictures of Carly....

Roger to the Rescue

Roger rescued this big, beautiful slider turtle on Sunday afternoon on the way to his parents house. I think it must run in the family!

Hot Air

We are always excited when we hear the sound of hot air balloons over the house in the early morning. It's almost like the excitement of Christmas for Chase! We always have to run out and yell "good morning" to any basket close enough to hear us. One of these days, it will be us up there!

Adieu to Tee Tee

After what we think was a pretty good life, our cat passed away last Tuesday morning. Although she had a couple medical issues (hyperthyroidism and a flipped lense in one eye), she was doing really well and seemed happy. Unfortunately, we are not sure exactly what happened, but we think she might have been hit by a car in the wee hours of the morning. Strange, because we have never seen her in the front yard in the seven years we've lived here, but we will never know exactly what happened.

She was a great cat. Roger & Blake adopted her as a young cat after she started meowing at our second floor bedroom window in 1995. Boy was she persistent! She traveled with us as we moved from house to house in Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Vancouver, and Celebration and always adpated easily. She even accompanied us on our roadtrip from Vancouver, British Columbia to San Luis Obispo, CA without complaint. Most recently, she enjoyed relaxing in the backyard sun during the day and cuddling up with us on the couch to watch some TV in the evening. We will remember her as a very sweet and gentle cat.

She now rests next to Roger & Sharon's dogs (Laddie, Dutchess & Brandy) and cat (Tigger) under a big Magnolia tree on their property on Lake Mary Jane. We love you Tee Tee!

Chase Starts Soccer

Chase just started playing soccer a few weeks ago in the 4-5 year-old league here in Celebration. There are 6 teams this season, so the fields are busy on Saturday mornings! Chase fits right in on the soccer field because he loves to run and is pretty fast for his age. They've only had a few practices and two games, so he is still learning the rules and figuring out his place in the game, but he did manage to score his first goal this morning. Yeah!!! Coach Eric is a great coach, so I'm sure he'll learn a lot and be scoring up a storm by the end of the season...

It's Been A While

Well, it's been a couple weeks since my last post. Nothing too exciting going on I guess, so here are a few of the latest Carly pictures. She's 8 months old already... crawling fast, cruising along furniture, getting mad when she doesn't get what she wants. Now that she's out of the baby stage, I'm thinking of how easy it was when she was baby! Sleeping, eating, pooping. Now she's into everything and I have to watch her closely. Just this morning I thought "Geez, it looks as if she's chewing something" and when I stuck my finger in her mouth, I found a little piece of rubber mulch that Justin brought home from the park in his shoe. I might have to start vacuuming EVERY day!!! Oh no!!!
