This last picture is of Justin right before he got his first stitches in Colorado at 18 months. He was climbing rocks at a mini golf park when he fell on a sharp edge. I think he got 4. And no stitches since!Tuesday, June 17, 2008
Rite of Passage
A few days after we returned from Ohio, Chase & I spent some time in the Emergency Room getting 5 stitches in his forehead. He & Justin were arguing over a little Kung Fu Panda paper, when Chase turned and ran his head quickly into the corner of the chair rail in the dining room. I thought we could get away with a little butterfly bandage to help it heal, but the wife of one of Roger's coworkers (who is an ER doctor and lives down the street) recommended getting it stitched since it was a "u" shape, not a straight line. Chase & I headed to the ER about 9:30 pm, he fell asleep in the waiting room about 11:30 pm and woke up to the PA sticking a needle in his wound about 1:30 am. We were home by 3 am. What a night!
